Savant Adds ROSIE Keypads to Product Lineup
September 2008
Osterville, MA. September, 2008– Savant Systems LLC, having led the convergence of an open architecture platform to integrate automation and control, A/V switching, and general purpose computers, has announced the introduction of the ROSIE Programmable Keypads. These wired devices have been designed specifically for use with Savant's multimedia, home control and automation architecture. Delivering convenient control in areas where touch panels or On–Screen Displays (OSD) are not appropriate, ROSIE Programmable Keypads allow complete access to system automation features. ROSIE Keypads are the ideal and complementary user interface for multi–zone audio, mixed lighting control solutions, or any other automation applications.
ROSIE single–gang keypad assemblies are offered in 2–, 3–, 4–, and 11–button membrane designs, or can be custom ordered to fit the requirements of any installation. The buttons are laser engraved membranes that fit behind Decora® custom wall plates, and when paired with centralized interconnect and distribution platforms or modules can transmit/extend two-way control signals via UTP (CAT5e/CAT6) cables to ROSIE Keypads at a distance up to 300 feet. A single CAT5e cable connection is all that is required to both wire and power the ROSIE keypads.
The ROSIE whole–house audio keypad is a cost–effective control interface for multi–source and multi–zone audio control. They complement the ROSIE System 2, ROSIE System 3, and ROSIE System 12 & 24 suite of multi–zone audio distribution configurations.
Suggested retail pricing and availability for the SAVANT ROSIE Keypads will be announced.
