Savant Announces Low Cost Remote Control Solution
September 2008
Osterville, MA. September, 2008– Savant Systems LLC, having led the convergence of an open architecture platform to integrate automation and control, A/V switching, and general purpose computers, has announced that it will feature and demonstrate new remote control capabilities at CEDIA Expo 2008 in Denver, CO. SAVANT® is expanding its line of remotes by offering the ROSIE Traditional RF Remote bundled with an RF wireless receiver, delivering one–way control of AV equipment, services and third–party subsystems–an ideal solution for controlling televisions and DVD players commonly installed locally in rooms throughout the home.
"Dealers have requested a basic and economical remote control solution for the ROSIE architecture," explained Savant president Jim Carroll. "Thanks to our dynamic RacePoint Blueprint™ configuration and design tool, dealers and system integrators can readily customize these remotes to meet the demands of any installation," Carroll stated. The ROSIE Traditional RF Remote features four programmable hot launch buttons to control AV equipment, system services or actions and subsystems, making these commands simple and accessible for anyone in the home.
The SAVANT Traditional Remote capabilities will be showcased at
CEDIA Expo 2008, booth 767.
The SAVANT Traditional Remote and RF Wireless Receiver are available now with an MSRP of $500 USD.
